At the other site of the canal you can see the House de Neufville, Herengracht 475.
The de Neufville House, also called the House in the Bend, designed by Philips Vingboons at 1731. The interior has an stuccoed corridor with statues, a staircase with a skylight and beautiful wall and ceiling paintings.
House van Deutz (1663),
Herengracht 450
Mansion designed by Philips Vingboons in the flat style.
We are now in the part of the 17th-century ring of canals which was constructed after 1663. Here we find the largest and most magnificent houses, mainly double mansions. Therefore this part of the Herengracht is called ‘The Golden Bend’ of the Herengracht. Most double houses we see here were built in the 17th century and were given a new facade in the 18th century.
